Reincarnation, is basically an idea that after someone dies, their soul lives again in a new body, according to the Oxford English Dictionary. Personally, I have heard of this idea a few times from people, movies and even books. The whole idea just tells how much humans enjoy seeking for answers where there is none. I won’t say reincarnation is not possible but then, if I can see someone that believes so much in it, I’ll love to ask them a simple question, why do you want someone who is already dead to live again inside a new person?
Most times, people that practices reincarnation in the movies that I have seen are mostly people who have lost their loved ones unjustly or those who think the person lived a very useful life and them dying will be like a waste of the things they are capable of doing or even those who have an unfinished business with life. So most times, they sort for powers that can help the soul of these persons live again. There are definitely other reasons why people might want to reincarnate but most times, it’s all for selfish reasons (if it’s for others you don’t have to).
There are some particular religions that practice this and according to one of them, they believe in rebirth based on karma. If you do something good, it will result in a good rebirth but if you do something bad, it will result in a bad rebirth, something like that. Naturally, the idea is, what goes around comes around. You will reap whatever you sow. As someone who believes in the Bible, I haven’t read anywhere in it that accepts the idea or believe that once we die, we will reincarnate. I only read that once we die, we will face judgement and we will be judged based on the things we have done.
This makes so much sense, at least to me. Everyone will give an account for themselves. No one will give an account for another person (in reincarnation who will give account for who?). The only one who could give an account for another was Jesus Christ and he does that while we still live. He intercedes on our behalf before God daily and that is because he came to die for us and was resurrected just so we can be reconciled back to God. A lot of persons might have even argued that Jesus Christ didn’t rise from the dead but was reincarnated but that is not true. History has it that indeed Christ was risen.
Like I said, reincarnation is possible because man has thought about it. Telling us the power of believe and faith. And besides that, there are powers that can make reincarnation possible so if that is what you want, you can get it. I haven’t had any personal experience with someone that believes in reincarnation or who is believed to have reincarnated but then, I have seen people talk about the striking similarities between two individuals and for some reasons they just think that it might be some sort of reincarnation.
No matter how two persons look alike, they won’t have the same character or even live the same life. They will still stand before God to be judged. Not because you were reincarnated does it mean you won’t be judged. Everyone will give an account of how they spent their lives on earth. Karma is just a natural way of reaping what we soul physically but that doesn’t mean we won’t face the righteous Judge (God) to answer the question of life. If it’s reincarnation that we do want, you can choose to accept that but don’t forget that we all will be judged in the end. We will give an account of how we lived our lives, whether you believe it or not.
I won’t accept the idea of reincarnation because it won’t add anything to my live or someone else’s but I’m very certain it will be a problem to those who practice it at some point. I won’t encourage anyone to accept it either because it will only make them do things that they shouldn’t do. If we have lost someone, they no longer have any business with whatever we do here to them. Even if they are, it is not something ordinary obviously.
Anyways, I know little or nothing about reincarnation because the Bible didn’t mention it as part of the things that can give me the salvation I seek for. So, feel free to either believe or not but this is my take on REINCARNATION according to the hivelearners topic.
Thank you for reading through. ❤️
