I can't believe that was a reunion but well I guess it was despite the circumstances around it. I actually thought I haven't been to reunion before but after thinking so much about it, I remembered I have been to one. I couldn't remember it earlier because it was not a blissful one. It has been three years plus since I graduated from secondary school and the memories of all the fun and pains I had then still feels fresh.
The memories from school for me where both sweet and bitter but the truth is I'm so happy that I have passed that stage even though I know there were times that were really fun. After I finished my second school, I was only in touch with few of my friends who were so close to me back then in school. We all were so unfortunate (so I thought) because we did not make good grades in our final exams. So after school, some of us learned a skill while others already have a skill so they started working.
After the first year, one of my friends got sick and at this point I had to go visit her though it took me a while to get the time to go visit her because I thought it was not serious. When I saw how poorly she was faring in health, I became very worried and told one of our other friend who decided that we should ask others to gather so we all can go visit our classmates. When we passed the news to others, sadly only few responded and we fixed a date when we all went to visit our sick classmate/friend.
She was very happy to see us but we were feeling very sad because her condition was getting even worse, we joined her to pray and sing. She had a very beautiful voice and despite her condition, she still sang so beautifully, now that I'm writing this I can't help but shed a tear but please don't mind me. At the end, we all gave the family a little something to assist them in taking care of our friend and afterwards we did some little catching up.
Well I will say I was happy but more sad because one of us was not doing well in health. We had some fun talks remembering the good old days especially the time we spent with our sick friend. The reunion we had was a very emotional moment for everyone of us. Well, the only thing that made this reunion stand out for me is because it was for a very good friend's sake.
