<지금이 아니면 안 될거 같아서>라는 책을 읽고 해외에서 돈을 벌며 사는 삶을 상상해 본 적이 있다. 물론 지금도 현재 진행형이다.
상상에서도 돈을 벌어야 한다니. 맙소사.
현실에서 상상의 나라를 마음껏 건설해보는 나지만 금방 그 안에 또 다른 현실이 생겨나고 만다.
뿌리 깊이 자리 잡은 현실이라는 밑거름 때문에 자라나는 상상조차 현실화된다. 실현의 의미가 아닌 믿음의 도화지 속 이야기가 현실이 투영되는 것.
자취를 하게 되면 마음껏 꾸미고 살 줄 알았는데 현실적인 귀차니즘이 또 작동하고 만다.
그 사이, 비용이라는 현실적인 벽에 또 한번 부딪혀버린다.
대체 나는 어떻게 살고 있는건가.
인테리어에 의욕을 보이는 나를 두고 여러 생각이 들어
깊은 밤 잠 못 이룬다.
