I've been enjoying writing my bite size journal entries using a manga style layout for my daily pages. And it got me looking into other page layouts to see what others are doing. I came across one that looks amazing - a Dutch Door Journal.
Just like it sounds, the journal pages are cut in half like a dutch door. I found a great tutorial on how to make dutch doors for your journal.
The thought behind the dutch door layout is to create sections to use however you imagine. These sections can help categorize your journal or be purely decorative. I think this layout would be great for a journal that works as a planner too. You can also do vertical dutch doors.
I'm going to try it with one of my cheap journals and see how it comes out.
