Funny, I was about to make a similar post:
- I would remove the 7-days payout period and make a system where posts would in some way remain able to receive votes regardless if they would be even years old. I know this would tax a lot on the blockchains transactions, but maybe make it so after the 7 days a post becomes inactive, but would become active for another 7 days if someone were to upvote it. What do I know?
I think this would promote much better behavior in terms of content instead of most posts being super shallow. It would also create much more incentive for already well-established content creators on other platforms to join in.
Just like you Reblogging so it's not just a reblog, but it is possible to add a comment to it like if I were to reblog this post I could add a comment on top saying "What would you guys change on Hive?"
Autovoting is a bit too lucrative, would be nice to see this gone as well.
