I'm new on Steemit and frankly, I love this venue!
I run several political, environmental and holistic pages on Facebook with an aggregate membership of around half a million members. Not too shabby for seven years of work. I also have several handles on Instagram, Twitter, Gab, Tumblr and a few others.
My main reason for being so involved in Social Media is to learn and disseminate important information that impacts our world. It was this reason that brought me to Steemit, but I must confess that the monetary incentive gave me that extra push.
I've been here since May. I've written 137 posts and I've made some money, although I'm not quite sure how to read my exact earnings thus far. I'm the kind of person that delves right in and asks questions later. I learned to swim by jumping into deep water and I opened the first of seven businesses at the age of 25, without knowing much about the business world. I learned by making mistakes and I was always in a hurry to make new ones.
So, here I am, Steeming it with regularity, without really knowing what the heck I'm doing. I'm learning as I go and I've put together a list of posts that have helped me on this journey. I'm posting my list here as a cheat sheet for myself and also so you can benefit from my discoveries. If you have other posts you could suggest, or places where I can garner more information on the art of Steeming, please share your suggestions in the comment section.

I use https://app.bitly.com not only to shorten my links, but most importantly because I can learn how many people click on each link I post. This helps me understand my readership better. It also helps me find specific articles I posted in the past. It's a great tool I've used for several years.
