Actually, who are these Rohingyas ? Their ancient abode belongs to the Rakhaine Province lying opposite of Tecknaf. No development so far been made into this remote area. Not only roads and highways, minimum facilities for normal life-style are not available here. Under such a situation, enlightened Teknaf city including its roads and improved life style attracts the rohingyas much. Naturally, for changing their fate, they move towards Bangladesh.the rohingyas to their homeland. As it will cease their activities and most of them are likely to loose their job. As such, until any new front is discovered, they prefer it to be their resort of employment.
These Rohingyas are involved in the environmental pollution and social crimes. While residing in the tilas and jungles, they cut lakhs of trees. In this way, huge forest resources are being vanished as they use the wood for their domestic cooking. Number of trees being destroyed daily are even more than those used in the brickfields. They are also involved in anarchic situation in rural areas. Moreover, they are involved in yaba-trading and even prostitution. Thus they are leading our youth society to astray.
As the Rohingya issue appears to be a permanent problem of this country, an immediate course of action is needed to be taken for the greater welfare of the country.
