Good day everyone! How was your week hustling and bustling? Mine has been busy with shifting duties and as I have my free time, I would play Splinterlands and destress.
Moving forward to the future of Splinterlands, we are now enjoying the new update.
This was from the Splinterlands you can check here for the updates made and was effective after the last EOS.
So instead of Ranked Battle it is now Focus Points. It is somehow related to ranked battles but making sure to have a continuous win to have a better chance of winning chests.
I'm still coping with the new update, but from what I have observed, you have to rent a good deck. Every player is competitive and I'd like to show you in this blog how competitive they are.
Since my Focus Points is Death, I had to rent good cards that could give me sure win. I rented mostly gold foils at level 4. My opponent is Scarred Llama Mage and this is my first time to fight head on. I was kinda scared.
I never have thought that my Thaddius Brood overpowered the Llama, it was a wise decision to use magic since it could pierce and directly hit the health of the enemy.
This fight was the best so far. I rented Undead Rexx for its high melee attack and high health and position him as my tank. My support Dark Ferryman with the ability of Cripple. I was amazed by how effective cripple is for shielded enemies as another support is given by Weirding Warrior as he has shatter. It was a perfect pair with my summoner versus Kelya Frendul. Haunted Spider was very purposeful during this battle. As he hits the enemy, they had another decrease in their health the next round as they were poisoned. Then my last tank, Ureaus. My enemy, has Deep Lurker but he isn't enough to defeat my best mix of my monsters.
Having higher levels of cards more chances of winning because of the abilities offered on higher levels. But take note when you rent or own cards it must coincide with your league and summoner levels because if your not mindful about it, you can't use the full ability of the card.
