James clear is one of those authors that actually understood the art of writing and also in communicating the right intends with right words and in right context and perspective.
the fascinating fact about James Clear is his amazing stroy-telling angle to every chapter. even if you don't intending reading far, his story telling hooks just keeps each line flowing into paragraphs he has this excellent nudge of capturing your interest and taking it all the way down the whole book.
One of the things that stood out for me is this lesson: being in motion and actually making progress, the two might sound alike but the later connotes something deeper.
according to the author James clear, motion is when you are making plans regarding something you want, could be a goal you set, like the resolutions we pen down every beginning of the year, motion captures all the brainstorming, planning, prospects in view but progress on the other hand is the actual process of making moves on your plans and resolution.
Before I start reading Atomic Habit, I already finished Eat the frog by Brian Tracy, bringing the lessons there to this, i understand better why many of us procrastinate even without knowing, you can tell yourself this year I'm doing something big, I'm taking on that grant strides, launching that book, starting that business, getting married, when we write all this we feel good especially with good prospect in view, but then one thing led to another we keep procrastinating all this is motion cause first we've taken the idea from our heads down to paper, which is a comenserable first step, however when we actually get in the mood and start really doing these things then we're really making progress.
don't mistake this to mean waiting for the right time, circumstances and conditions cause obviously this is where most of us are, how being in motion really feels good atleast, this is preping or fixating your mind on what you want which is a good drive but don't stop there, whatever it maybe, take the first step get involve doing something no matter how little the effort are, it might not show up like anything but the truth is tiny small steps done diligently compounds over time and that's how we achieve results in life.
