I love Monero, but have been really looking into Secret Network lately for some privacy DEFI. It's built on the Cosmos SDK. It does have some centralization issues, but is a pretty cool option for privacy smart contracts.

Bitcoin is a great store of value but is completely out in the open. For that under the mattress cash kind of privacy, Monero is still king.
