Last week, I blog about My Five Top Rebellion Cards of which I talk about some important cards of which I have used many of them in battles. I talked about five cards- Ulundin Overseer, Redwrym Dragon, Daarg Deadblast, Redwrym Hatchling, and Captain Fellblade. They are incredible monsters someone should have.
I discussed extensively about Ulundin Overseer; this was because it was one of the rebellion monsters 💩💀 I used most.
In fact, I used Ulundin Overseer yesterday against my opponent; with the help of Ulundin Overseer, I won the battle and that is the reason I am always talking about Ulundin Overseer.
Today, I will talk about one important summoner which is NOMOS
Both summoners are from rebellion 🎄💩💀; the are capable of destroying monsters due to their abilities.
NOMOS
Nomos is a fire 🔥🔥 summoner with crazy abilities; and these abilities drew me to this summoner. Nomos are very important in some battles; they give you victory.
For example:
Wand Out Rule: we all know that when this rule is activated, only magic monsters are allowed to use it.
How Is Nomos Useful?
When there is a ***wand out ***rule, it is clear that the opponent is coming with magic monsters in such battles. Therefore, using nomos is very beneficial.
We all know that the nomos reduce opponents' magic monsters. The moment you use Nomos in such a battle; it will reduce the magic ability of an opponent 's monsters.
There was a battle where my opponent used Bortus; I came up with Lyanna and Mushroom Seer.
By the time he came up, he included a monster with the silence ability. That was how -2 magic attacks were reduced from all my monsters; all my monsters were 1 magic attack.
The funniest thing he did was to use Prismatic Energy. The prismatic energy he used had reflection 🪞🪞 and void abilities.
Therefore, my monsters 😄❣️ could not damage one of the health of Prismatic Energy. That was how I was terribly damaged and my opponent won the battle.
Imagine there were Nomos in this battle; 2 magic attacks would have been deducted from the opponent's monsters.
Therefore, Nomos is very good to use when the wand out rule is given. It will reduce the magic attacks of opponents which can lead to defeat.
Imagine a player using Nomos and monsters with a void ability in the first position when wand out is given? Such a player will have more advantage than his opponent; if he added monsters with silence, -3 magic attacks will be deducted from his opponent which is incredible.
Fog of War 🌫️: Fog of war is a rule in splinterlands that allows magic monsters to attack in any position; and range monsters to attack in second to the last positions; and only range monsters with close range ability are allow to attack in any position.
Melee monsters and melee monsters only allow you to attack in first and second position. Therefore, melee monsters cannot attack from third position to the last position. No matter the abilities that such melee monsters may possess, they cannot attack in third to the last position.
This is the reason players find it easy to use magic and range monsters in such battles.
Whenever a Fog of war rule is given; I only have it in mind that my opponent may come with magic and ranged attacks. This makes me prepare for the battle by using range and magic monsters.
Most of the players I was paired with recently used a water summoner which was Alric Stormbringer.
We all know that Alric Stormbrimger is a summoner that gives 1+ magic attack to all friendly monsters.
This made me use Alric Stormbringer and Djinn Oshannus as the first or second monster depending on the numbers of mana.
If Alric stormbringer is not available, I made use of Earth 🌎🌍 Summoner, then added a monster with silence ability in it.
With Nomos now in splinterlands, Fog of war is now easy. Since we know that opponents can rather come with magic attacks or range attacks; we can now study the game very well whether Nomos or other summoners can fit in.
If you understand that your opponent is coming with magic attacks, Nomos will be very important in such battles. This is because deducting -2 magic attack from opponent magic monsters can render some magic monsters 🪄✨ useless 🪴.
Another ability of Nomos is the dispel ability. When a monster with dispel ability hits the target 🎯, it clears all positive status effects.
I was playing splinterlands today; I came across players that used dispel abilities. One of the players used level 6 of Venari Cystalsmith 🔮🔮 which had dispel ability. Then, I used Venari Marksrat as the first monster so that the stats of the second monster could increase.
Fortunately🍀🍀, after elimination of Venar Marksrat, the stats of Djinn Oshannus increased. After Venari Crystalsmith 🔮🔮 hits Djinn oshannus, all the positive effects that was added to its stats by martyr was cleared. This is the biggest advantage of monsters with dispel ability. Nomos possesses dispel ability which will be useful in many battles.
One of the disadvantages of using Nomos is when players use Immortalis summoner. The void ability given to all friendly monsters will make it difficult for magic monsters to damage opponents’ monsters. Using immortalis with a monster with silence ability may pose a serious threat to opponent that use Nomos.
This is because the monster with silence ability will remove -1 magic attack from opponent monsters 😔🤬, and also give all friendly monsters void ability.
Immortalis will also give shatter ability to friendly monsters: this shatter ability destroys the armor of a monster in a single attack. Either the target monsters are shield 🛡️🛡️ ability monsters or any ability, the moment a monster with shatter ability hits the target 🎯🎯, all the armor will be destroyed in a single attack.
Therefore, you need to e smart when using Nomos summoner.
Using Nomos when you can use all the three attacks- magic, range and melee is very risk. This is because your opponents may come with melee or range attacks; he may even come with the combination of ! magic, melee and range attacks.
