Cell division is a process by which a cell divides into two daughter cells.
The cell which are divides are called parents cell. The cell which are produced as a result of cell division called daughter cells. Before the start of cell division, the parentells pass through a phase called interphase. Before a cell divides, each of it's chromosomes is made of a single chromatid.
During interphase, the chromosomes duplicate.it means that each chromosome make new chemotids .
A a result ,each chromosomes consist of two chromatids. The process of cell division involves two phases i.e , nuclear division and cytokinesis.Nuclear division is the division of nucleus which is followed b cytokinesis.
Cytokinesis is the division of cytoplasm.cell division is of two types which are called mitosis and meiosis.

Mitosis..

Mitosis is a process by which the parent cell divides into two daughter cells with same number of chromosomes as in the parent cell . Te number of chromosomes is doubled during interphase.

During mitosis when the nucleus of parent cell divides both chromatids of each chromosome separate. In this way ,two sets of chromosomes are formed, each with single chromotid. Two sets of chromosomes are distributed equally in the two daughter nuclei .After nuclear division a shallow groove arises in the middle of the cytoplasm which deepens further ad divides the cell into tw daughter cells, each having a nucleus.

Meiosis

Meiosis is a process b which the cell divides twice to form four daughter cells in sch a way that the number of chromosomes in each daughter cell i reduced to half as compared to parent cell

The process of meiosis consist of two division, meiotic _1 division and meiotic _11 division. During meiotic 1 division the number of chromosomes is reduced to half as compared to parents cell . Meiotic 11 division is similar to mitosis because te half number of chromosomes is retaind in The four daughter cells.
