1 Integer Division
The equivalent of // in Java is / when used with integers. This means that when you divide two integers in Java, the result is also an integer, as the decimal portion is truncated. For example, 5 / 2 yields 2, not 2.5.

2 Floating-Point Division
It is important to note that if one of the operands is a floating-point number, the division is performed as a floating-point operation rather than an integer operation. This means that if you divide an integer by a float or a double—or vice versa—the result will be a floating-point number. For example, 5 / 2.0 yields 2.5.

3 Practical Usage
To perform integer division in Java, ensure that both operands are integers. If you need to obtain both the quotient and the remainder of a division, you can use the / operator for the quotient and the % operator for the remainder. For instance, to divide 5 by 2, you can use 5 / 2 to get the quotient (2) and 5 % 2 to get the remainder (1).
