The Bagala Bhagat paddy bird (Ardeola Grayii)
A bird commonly known as Pond-heron is often spotted in our Indian garden, especially in the wet areas left after the monsoon season. I admire its fishing skills, concentration, and calmness. The bird is very quiet and has a distinctive bright yellow eye with yellow eye shadow, a short neck, and a big bill.
Very quietly finding his place for fishing in our Indian garden.

Interestingly, the bird's habit of standing still and flushing only at the last moment has led to many folk beliefs that they are semi-blind. that is why in our area it is known as Bagala Bhagat
