hello, hivers greetings馃檹. amazing topic Fruit I love it. here is my entry for the contest. The fruit pineapple The tropical fruit and juice is popular all over the world. It contains some Raw pineapple pulp is 86% water, carbohydrates, and protein. It contains negligible fat but rich source of manganese, and vitamin C, It is a very sweet fruit and can use for recipes like cakes, jams, salads, jelly, and mixed drinks.
Here is what our pineapples look like when almost ripe.
we have planted these plants in our garden. during February-March they start flowering. the flowers are so beautiful and intricate.
slowly they start forming one fruit per plant.
This is the fruit after one month. The monkeys like it so much as soon as they find it they will pick it when the fruit is far from ripe.
this one is almost ready to harvest but not quite. Its color will turn light orange around the end of April. sadly we normally leave India by then so we do not get to taste them. the monkeys are very happy for that but we end up buying them in the market when we want to eat pineapple. We do not use fertilizers they grow naturally so they are smaller than commercially grown ones.
Here I am buying in the market and our garden-grown pineapples get eaten by monkeys馃槴
