Hello, friends and community! I hope you're all doing well. I'd like to share an amazing family destination, Foldvik Family Park, situated just 5–6 kilometers from our home.
Since I moved to Norway, we’ve regularly visited this wonderful Foldvik farm for fresh, locally grown vegetables. The charming farmhouse, made of logs and relocated from Holhjem in 1911, was renovated by Mr. Foldvik and his wife in 1982. Their genuine care for visitors shines through in every detail of the park.
In the early 1980s, the Foldvik couple dreamed of creating a fun space where children could play while their parents picked strawberries. Their son’s love for rabbits added to the park's charm, setting the foundation for what is now Foldvik Family Park.
When Mr. Foldvik took over the farm in 1997, he faced significant challenges, including debt and crop losses. Rather than giving up, he decided to commercialize the park. After two years of market analysis, Foldvik Family Park opened, offering an affordable experience at just $2/20 kroner for a ticket or $5/50 kroner for a season pass. Now it costs $37 for the offseason and $45 in summer. Slowly, slowly, it developed many things, and now it is well established and very popular for families. We got a free invitation ticket from our bank on the bank's anniversary.
After having some childish fun, we saw the place called Sense Forest, and we moved there. It is a children's play area, including some fun musical instruments
After taking on a round of mini train and meeting some more goats, we returned home. Visiting Foldvik Family Park—it’s a fantastic place for family fun and lasting memories! Thank you for the fun you enjoyed with me. See you soon, take care:)
