We traveled to Budapest two weeks ago. It's a beautiful city with classical architecture, culture, tradition, and history. The people are friendly, and the places are well-maintained, except for the electric wires around the town, which can be a bit messy, especially when traveling on sightseeing open-top double-decker buses.
We wanted to join the Hive Fest but My Ganesh Festival was at the same time so I couldn't manage it. Reading some posts from attendees it was bad weather on that side that week. We missed that chance, so after Ganesh, we took a trip to Budapest And glad to say the weather turned beautiful except the Danube was flooded because of heavy rain upstream.
We arrived at the airport around 10 am and headed straight to the tourist information center in the city center. The lady there was friendly and provided enough information for the day. However, she mentioned that after today all boat trips would be cancelled. She advised us to take a boat trip if we were interested, as the river was flooded and the water level had risen, causing some restaurants and roads to be submerged. Despite the flood, we decided to take the chance for a boat trip since our hotel check-in time was 2 pm. The river, which is usually blue, had turned brown due to the flood. Fortunately, The weather was fine, and we enjoyed our riverboat cruise, which highlighted the cities cities Buda and Pest on each side of the river. I was too tired to listen to the audio, so I just took some photos for that day and planned to explore the main attractions of Budapest in the coming days.
After I got down at the airport, I felt a warm welcome by the nice surroundings

People were happy because the weather seemed like nicer.
We had only carry-on luggage with us for the stay so after we got the ticket we rushed to the boat with our bags.
As soon as the boat started first I faced the Castle Hill and Buda Castle.
Liberty Bridge. Most bridges in Budapest are named after a person and the Liberty Bridge was called Franz Joseph (Ferenc József) after the previous Emperor.
Most buildings consist of business centers, commercial chains, or hotels.
The parliament building. each day during the next week the water level increased more and more.
Most of the classical buildings around the river bank are fancy hotels, with water cruises and restaurants.

Originally it was a chain structure bridge like the Chain Bridge, built in an eclectic style, and completed in 1903. All the bridges were blown up by retreating German troops in 1945, and the old bridge was irreparably damaged. A modern elegant white suspension bridge was built instead in 1964 with six lanes of traffic.

Chain Bridge (Lánchíd) was the first permanent bridge between Pest and Buda, and the second permanent bridge on the full length of the Danube.

Lutheran Church has a nice beautiful roof and a tower that looks very elegant.
Margaret Bridge is also a permanent bridge. Margaret Bridge (Margit híd) was the second permanent bridge in Budapest, it was built between 1872 and 1876 by French engineer Ernest Gouin's company Societé de Construction des Battignolles. There is an embranchment from the middle pillar onto Margaret Island. during the flood, this bridge was busier for traffic cause some metro tracks were underwater and closed.
