Punalu'u Black Sand Beach, Hawaii
On the drive from Kona to Hilo is Punalu'u Black Sand beach. It's a small stretch of beach, but worth the stop. The sand is black and coarse. But the real attraction are the sea turtles. It's great to relax on the beach and watch them come and go.
