Brethren, I welcome everyone with the love of Christ to yet another loyalty Sunday in the month of June. Today, being the last Sunday in the month of June, I would like us to briefly consider the two bible verses in the gospel of Luke chapter 6.

41 “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 42 How can you say to your brother, ‘Brother, let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when you yourself fail to see the plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

Luke 6:41-42

The above bible verses related the teaching of Jesus concerning the judgmental attitude of man toward his fellow brothers.
How quick we are to see the errors with others

How quick we are to identifying the little errors in others when in fact we are yet to attend the mighty pulling force in ourselves.
When you see two or more people gathering and discussing; check well, for they are most likely diagnosing the problems in others rather than the problem with their personal self.

We are quick to spot the faults in our leaders when in real sense we are also failing in our roles at the very small unit that makes up a community. How well have you identify the root cause of issues affecting your home and family life before blaming your leaders for being lame to the challenges confronting a nation?

If only we could learn to fix ourselves right first.

If all you see are the problems here and problems there in others, what have you done to the problem rocking you and your home?

If only we could see more clearly the problem with our personal self than we see in others.
I beseech you brethren to first look inward in yourselves before you spat out those condemning and judgmental words at others, before you point those accusing fingers at the man and woman next door to first search yourself to see that you are not in anyway found wanting in those little things you condemn in others.
