Learning about #5 [Odysseus, Tried Victor]

Greetings people, this time I bring you one of the most unknown cards among the legendary cards of the genesis set called [Odysseus, Tried Victor], a card that individually does not usually stand out but in card combos becomes a very flexible and powerful card.

Basic Combo

The card [Odysseus, Tried Victor] by itself is not very strong and does not usually survive more than one turn, so to get its full potential it should be combined with life recovery cards in the same turn, using it on turn 6 or turn 5 plus a crystal to then use cards like [Recovering Sigil] or [Healing Insight] which allow you to survive the turn to continue with the combos.

Other combos

There are a great variety of combos that can be used with different gods, in this occasion for the god light after applying the basic combo in the next turn it is possible to use the card [Prayer of the Desperate] to improve all the creatures on the board, it can also be very useful in healing combos as with the card [Sern, The Moderator] just to mention some of the combos.

Late game

The effectiveness of the combo in the late game will depend a lot on what deck your opponent is using, usually against war getting to late and applying the combo gives you a great advantage due to the frontline but against magic getting to the late game can mean defeat, this is why you usually launch the combo as soon as possible, either on turn 5 or 6 as mentioned above.

Tips

• The three [Injured Soldier] are very beneficial for cards that improve stats and those that take effect when summoning creatures.
• Cards such as [Rapture Dance] and [Shaped Blast ] prove to be very detrimental to the combo.
• Although the combos are very strong in the early stages of the game, the deck must have alternatives to be able to obtain victory in case of a bad rotation.
