This is one of my last photographic series based on the different tones of one “color” (white really is the presence of light) that forms different textures and tonalities in one scenario. White on White is originally the name of an artwork by Kazimir Malevich, where he painted a white square on a white canvas, making this kind of “contrast”, but to tell you the truth, this series reminds me more of one song of the venezuelan artist Sr. Presidente, called by the same name. If I was thinking of something making this series it was that song.
I wanted to decompose the white, make the white dirty, give texture to the white in different presentations of it that I finded in my day to day life. The líquid white, the solid white, the creamy white, that white that isn’t that white anymore. It’s finding a story in something that apparently doesn’t say anything but if we look closer it’s a universe in itself.
