From the sky it looks like someone has drilled a series of holes on the surface of the dry desert. But thirty feet below the mysterious holes, water is transported from a groundwater reservoir via a narrow tunnel to farms and villages.
These underground aqueducts are 3000yr's old, and miracles of engineering. Many of them are still in use throughout Iran.
