Right on. I'd be into it. I'm a good swimmer but a rip tide held me down under exertion for over a minute or so once when i was a teen. Saw the life flashing past your eyes thing and the tunnel of light before i surfaced like a nuke sub doing an emergency ballast blow. People from shore said it looked like i was thrown from the water by some unseen force. Pretty sure my body gave it one last desperate go and launched me like an icbm out of the water.
