Steem Will Become The Number One Solution for Content Monetization!
The SBD pump has me thinking about the future… about how we are the true early adopters of the steem platform.
When you think about the potential for steem to change the world, it can blow your mind. This digital token could lead to an entire online ecosystem that supports valuable work outside of the traditional 9-to-5 income paradigm.
Right now, we’re a small community. We need to help more people experience the steem lifestyle. Every time somebody starts posting here and falls in love with steem, it’s another step closer to a world of healthy incentives for creators.
Steem Dwarfs All Other Platforms
Patreon and Kickstarter will crumble before the might of steem.
Steem has the potential to be much lower friction than either website. On Patreon, you need to actively pay up each month. Money has to come out of your wallet to go into somebody else’s. On steem, all you need to do is vote for the people who you want to support.
Voting is more affordable and easier than spending. In that way alone, steem has the advantage.
Meanwhile, Kickstarter has had so many problems… you have to put up money at the start to support a project and then hope that somebody is able to deliver on their promises.
Contrast that with steem, where support in ongoing. A team may raise $5,000 to start a project via traditional fundraising, then raise another $5,000 through upvotes on their posts over the next six months. If the project stops moving forward, the support goes away and no further rewards are allocated. If the project overdelivers, the rewards can ramp up to match that.
Today’s SBD Pump is Tomorrow’s Stable Steem Price
Seriously. If $10 SBDs has you freaking out… how will you feel about $10 steems?
With SBD, we all have a sense that it is temporary. Most likely the value will move towards $1 soon, since that’s how the token is designed.
With $10 steems, there’s no need to assume a downward price movement. $10 steems can be the standard for years and years. In a world of $10 steems, we’d be earning as much as we do now - but in a permanent way
Of course there will be more competition. But more than anything, there will be more opportunity - and this level of earnings can be sustainable for the best creators.
A Steemian who would earn equivalent to $10 USD per day on $1 steems, will earn $100 per day on $10 steems. That’s a living wage for many people…
We can use our current $10 SBDs as a way to see the future. Let this experience be motivation to keep working hard on steem - knowing that one day, this level of earnings will be possible for lots of people as a sustainable income stream.
Steem Will Fund The Creator’s World
Musicians, architects, authors, scientists, plumbers, historians, lifestyle bloggers, and so much more… it’ll all be supported by steem.
When you ask somebody what their job is, they might say “I’m a content creator for the steem ecosystem.” And you’ll know exactly what they mean. It’s already happening today at $1 steems - people like me earn a big chunk of their income from steem.
