Spending time at the beach is a great way to have fun with friends and family. Who doesn't love feeling the sea breeze and taking a dip in the water? As a self-proclaimed beach lover myself, I completely understand the appeal. However, with extreme heat indexes reaching up to 39°C in the Philippines, it's important to be mindful of the best time to go swimming. Rather than risking the heat and sun during the day, my friends and I opted for a night swim when the tide was high. It was the perfect way to unwind and bond after a long week of work.
Among all of our friend group, we were the once who were conveniently located near the market, so we were tasked with buying the food for our gathering.
They sent us the money, and we headed to the market to purchase the items. We planned to grill chicken and pork, so we bought 2.7 kilos of pork at 350 pesos per kilo, as well as chicken for 200 pesos per kilo.
We also grabbed some marinating sauce, garlic, onion, lemon, chili, pepper, and charcoal for grilling. After a quick two to three minute trip to the market, we headed home to marinate the meat and prepare for our dinner at the beach.
The good thing about our new place is that it's only a 5 to 10 minute drive from the beach, so imagine it's just a few minutes heading towards the city proper and 5 to 10 minutes going to the beach. I do love the location of our new place right now. If I want to go to the beach, it's just five to 10 minutes away, and if I want to go to Cebu City proper, it's just a few minutes away. I am somewhat like living on an island in the city and the province all at the same time, which makes it the best place to live.
We headed to the beach, where we met up with our friends.
Despite not meeting our aesthetic expectations, we opted for the 500 peso cottage due to its proximity to the beach. Our primary concern was the safety of our belongings while enjoying ourselves, so we chose the nearest option. The fact that the cost was divided amongst a large group made the price manageable. Ultimately, the convenience of the location and security of our possessions were our top priorities.
The photo captures the beauty of the beach, with its pristine waters, fine sand, and perfect spot for swimming at night. As soon as we arrived, I felt the urge to dive into the water since it was high tide. While walking along the shore, I noticed a lady lost in thought. Being near the beach and listening to the sound of waves can help clear the mind, make better decisions, and reduce stress. I love being at the beach all the time and wish I could be there more often.
We also love the exclusivity of the place. There were some people going night swimming as well, but they were cottages far away from us, which is a good thing because, let's all admit, it's better when we have the place all to ourselves, right? It's better to just be around people, other than the security of our personal belongings. It's just way better to have fun with just people around you, and that's the good thing that it's not that crowded when we went here. Therefore, we had the place almost all to ourselves, which is a good thing, indeed.
Our friend brought a speaker to the beach, which made it perfect for enjoying music and karaoke with friends. The speaker had a built-in microphone, so we had a blast singing our hearts out. We were able to make noise and turn the speakers up to full volume without worrying about getting in trouble since the beach is open 24/7. It was great that everyone brought something to make our experience more fun.
At approximately 9:00 PM, the men started preparing dinner for us to enjoy at the beach. They grilled the chicken and pork meat that we had marinated.
And while the boys were busy preparing for the dinner, the girls were also busy setting up the karaoke and the speakers, and we started singing. And we had so much fun waiting for our dinner to be cooked.
And then finally, dinner was served, and it was time for us to grab our favorite grilled chicken and grilled pork meat after we ate dinner. We then took photos as a group before we decided to go for a swim.
Of course, we could not have fun without bringing our furbaby with us, so we brought our dog, Uno, who was unhappy since he was on a leash, but later on, I unleashed him so that he could have fun. There were a lot of children around, and I didn't want him to go around those children that we didn't know, but as soon as there were not many people anymore, of course, I unleashed him and also brought him for a swim, which he had so much fun as well.

It's great to see such dedicated and hard-working individuals taking time out to relax and have fun. With all the demands of work and family life, it's important to remember to take a break every once in a while. It's refreshing to see these men enjoying themselves and unwinding after a long day at work.
We cooled off at the beach after enduring the scorching day. The extreme heat index in the Philippines made it a relief to take a dip in the cool water and enjoy the refreshing sea breeze. Night swimming was a perfect way to beat the heat and relax.

It's always enjoyable to have a beer while socializing with colleagues. The boys were having a great time discussing work, life, and more. It's important to take a break from work and have some fun. Occasional gatherings like this can strengthen the team's bond and be refreshing for everyone.

This photo was taken around 5:00 in the morning, the next day and we could already see the sunshine. Although it was already in the morning, we still had so much fun. We were still in the mood to continue partying and have fun, but of course, we had to get some sleep and rest. So we then went home happily, with so many memories to fill in our memory bank.
