Snake Plants aka Sansevierias
This plant is slithering its way into my top plant list.
We now have 2 massive ones, one of the pots has 2 blooms!
This is my first time having a blooming Snake Plant, even though I bought it while it was blooming...
The blooms don't put off any sort of fragrance, at least that I have noticed.
My allergies have been so intense lately that I can barely smell.
The roots of these guys are bright orange (when they're healthy at least!)
They enjoy being root-bound, so when I created these massive pots I made sure they were nice and snug.
Snake Plants put off "shoots" which are the thicker roots where a baby plant or a "pup" will grow from.
These plants have several pups coming up, lots of new growth now that it's getting warmer!
Pro-tip:
When you see a huge snake plant for $20-$70, keep in mind you could likely find smaller fuller pots for around $10 and just combine them into a larger pot.
That's what I did with these guys!
