Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love being appreciated as much as the next person.
But why do so many people only feel the need to celebrate their loved ones on dedicated holidays?
Today there are individuals who feel so obligated to spend this holiday with their mothers, they aren't actually enjoying the day.
They're setting aside their own happiness to appeal to this social obligation to spend time with "family."
This post is not to judge anyones choices, it's just something I truly don't understand and am guilty of myself.
Today for the first time I set aside my sense of entitlement, where I thought I "deserved" to be celebrated and just focused on enjoying my day.
My family loves me-everyday
My kids adore me-everyday
My partner is understanding and thankful-everyday
My ego was set aside today
and I enjoyed my day
Stay rad - Stay safe
