MY EXPERIENCE AS A NEWBIE GUITARIST AND ADVANCING TO BECOMING AN INTERMEDIATE..

Helle friend if hive. I hope I am welcome to this great and amazing community. Actually here is my 1st time posting into this community and I would have loved to make a video but because of my schedule and the things I have to sort like my assignment and reading I decide to write a post. Subsequent times I would love to do so because it is what gives me passion playing my guitar and singing.

So today, I am going to be sharing my experiences as a newbie guitarist and the intermediate level which I have been now and how the journey has been even with schooling.

MY EXPERIENCE AS A NEWBIE GUITARIST

So guitar has never been my plan of learning from the onset due to the kind of people I see playing it. Saxophone playing has been my aim of learning to play but at the long run I could not get a teacher to tutor me then I switch to keyboard and also the same and so from there I developed interest in the guitar which I didn't get a teach for also but at the long run I got a tutor for that which he taught me some basic steps and some rudimentary techniques of playing the guitar..

Guitar has never been easy for me to play tho I had passion for it that is why I have never let go of it. It was stressful for me to learn and to play considering schooling because you can't just take playing guitar over your education that's not done.. I proceed with learning but it was really too slow for me to rehearse and get to understand what I was thought because it was not too clear to me then but I got it right after series of Tests..

One of my great experience was when I was to go on an outing with my boss which he didn't tell me I will be playing the guitar there but when we got to the venue, he told me to pick up the guitar and play so I was shocked and was like how possible will that be considering the fact that I don't even know what to play then I reduced the volume of the guitar and told the sound engineer the speaker is not working fine. Immediately my boss understood why I did that and began to laugh at me saying he knew I reduced the volume of the guitar so I felt embarrassed.

That time I made decision to go improve myself so I won't turn down the volume of the guitar again so I began to do practise but as at then I find it so difficult to do rehearsal because I was working schooling and also want to improve my self so I just did rehearsal at a low pace. After then I got me guitar and started practicing proper then now becoming an intermediate guitarist..

BECOMING AN INTERMEDIATE

It has been a great time for me advancing from a newbie guitarist and becoming an intermediate. Since I started playing guitar 2019, then I became serious with it in the year 2020/2021 and 2021 precisely this was because I got admitted into the higher education institutions which I had some more chances of rehearsal than when I was still at home. My rehearsal rate was fast I listened to series of songs and did lots of researches which can help me improve..

I listen to different types of praise songs medley and playing of different guitar players with the likes of agboola shadare, Sammy guitar, Helen ibe, George Benson, earl klug and many more and this ha s mad me improved more in the way I play the guitar.

My believe about anything you do is consistency..when you become so consistent in anything you do , then you will get a better results within no time and you can get to the level which you want to get to within less time and also your determination to also achieve is also important..

My advice to my fellow instrumentalist out there is that what ever it is you desire to learn in instrument, just have the determination they you are knowing it and try giving your best into it then you are good to go..
