Wolfsburg continued to play in the German Cup when they beat Prussia Münster from the fourth-best German tier 3-1 in the first round of the tournament, but when the Bundesliga club made too many substitutions during the match, a complaint was made, which Wolfsburg were thrown out of the cup tournament, while Prussia Münster could continue.
However, Wolfsburg does not agree with that decision, and they have therefore chosen to appeal the verdict to the German Football Association. The club has announced this on its website, where they write:
VfL Wolfsburg has within the given deadline appealed the ruling from the DFB sports court to award Prussia Münster a 2-0 victory in the first round of the DFB Cup due to too many substitutions for DFB's court.
When the club expects the situation to have been dealt with to the end, nothing is reported.
