Dortmund star Jadon Sancho is a reluctant gentleman, where he has, among other things, been strongly rumored to Manchester United. But now Borrusia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has confirmed he will stay at the club.

However, after being said, Dortmund took a massive step by secretly extending the talented English lads contract by one year until 2023. With the extension of one year, Dortmund may have ensured that they can get the same price for the fast English national team player for next year, as there will then still be two years left on the contract. The story does not really report anything about why the club and the player chose to keep the extension secret.
According to the media, the extension gave the Englishman a handsome salary increase, and Dortmund chose to extend in a period where the offensive player was one of the most prominent on the team.
The 20-year-old joined Borussia Dortmund in 2017 from Manchester City.
