Boris Biberdžić aka Borrris is a visual artist and muralist based in Montreal. He studied Design at UQAM (Université de Québec à Montréal). Street Art was his introduction to art. He likes to explore the identity issue through his work. He founded with his friend Arnold the 203 Crew in Sherbrooke some years ago when when graffiti didn't have a real presence in this city. With its artistict abstract direction, 203 moved on to other creative fields (tattoo, legal murals...). Many street artists based on Montreal come from this crew : Lyfer, Ekes, Naïmo, Sener...

The Guardian is located in now beautiful park of Joyeux-Vikings (Happy Vikings). This place
was a land left vacant after fires during the Red Weekend in Montreal in 1974. Firefighters were on strike for a pay raise, during 3 days they didn't work, 185 houses were destroyed (source - only in French : ici.radio-canada.ca). The citizens presented their own development plan of this vacant lot since 1974, which was accepted after a 3 year-long battle in 2019 😮. Borrris with this work wanted to pay tribute to the inhabitants of the district for their tenacity to have a better living environment.
