Good day my fellow learners, prestigious students, #hive lovers and community builders.

I trust we had a nice weekend, I don’t want to take so much of our time tiday as I know we might have activities already scheduled for the day.

So today we are not gonna be learning a single word but a very common French expression.
If you ça remember in one of our classes we talked about how important expressions are in French language and how important and versatile they are such that they make you sound more like a native, fluent and easy to stick to the mind because it is fun to learn.

Today’s expression is Bonne journée and it means Have a nice day.
It’s interesting yeah? Those 2 words alone is already a full sentence when translated to English and thats one beauty of the French language.

It is pronounced like this [bon zhoor-nay]. Easy!French people use this expression when leaving someone during the day.

It is polite, friendly and very common, me personally i use it a lot and I love the feedback I get.

Examples:

Merci, bonne journée ! – Thank you, have a nice day!

Je te souhaite une bonne journée. – I wish you a nice day.

Small expressions like this make conversations sound much more natural because they are part of everyday French culture.

THANKS FOR READING
