Good day my fellow learners and lovers of the French language, I wish you all a wonderful weekend and a wonderful week ahead of you.

Welcome to another beautiful class or session of our daily French lessons. Today we’re going to learn another amazingl and practical French word that you will hear very often in conversations, it makes you sound very professional and more like a native speaker of français.

The word is BIENTÔT
and what does it mean? Youll know that im a few but I want you to also observe carefully the mark or sign that’s boldly on the letter O. In French we call that accent and it helps identify or give meaning to a word so if we forget to add the accent it changes the meaning and sense of the word.

Bientôt simply means soon.
It is pronounced [bee-en-toh], The final “t” is silent, just like many French words, so don’t let the spelling intimidate you, like I taught us in our previous classes French has many rules and special words with some exceptions so let’s take that to heart.

This is one of those words that adds hope to a sentence because it talks about something that is expected to happen in the near future.
It can be used in so many ways and contexts, you çan use it when you’re planning to meet someone, finish a task or begin something exciting, “bientôt” fits perfectly.

Examples:

À bientôt ! — See you soon.

Je reviendrai bientôt. — I will come back soon.

Le film commence bientôt. — The movie starts soon.

Nous voyagerons bientôt. — We will travel soon.

One thing I enjoy about learning French is discovering how ordinary words carry a lot of meaning in everyday conversations and I also love how expressive and romantic the language can be or is.

“Soon” is such a simple word, yet it often carries excitement, expectation, and even comfort.
Think about how many times we tell someone, “See you soon,” or reassure ourselves that better days are coming soon then youll realise how important and frequent the word comes to our mind.
When you say à BIENTÔT it means see you soon.
Language is not only about vocabulary but about life itself because it also reflects hope, emotion and human connection that’s why every new word you learn brings you one step closer to expressing yourself naturally in another language, so you don’t need to rush but take it one step at a time because one day you’ll get there and speak fluently like a FRENCH native.

So with all we’ve learned today I pray it stays with us, at this junction I’d say BIENTÔT so i don’t take all of out time.

Thank you for reading
