When the American forefathers started the country, they had life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness in mind. But did they also have ancient Rome in mind as well?
Noted historian jay Publius says Roman influence on the construction of the American Republic was multifaceted:
They identified even with Rome’s geography. In Washington, DC, Capitol Hill (formerly called Jenkins Hill) alludes to one of the Seven Hills of Rome.
The Founders’ and Framers’ noms de plume were Roman — Publius, Cicero, Cincinnatus, Cato, Brutus. They consciously identified with Roman models of republican virtue. So:
– Washington: Cincinnatus (to others), Fabius the Delayer (to history), Cato the Younger (to himself)
– Adams: Cicero, the greatest attorney of the ancient world.
– Jefferson: Cicero
– Madison: Publius, to our Founders, the first great republican leader in world history, a model republican.
– Hamilton: Caesar originally, according to Donald D’Elia, then Publius
– Jay: Publius
Instead of being hidden somewhere inaccessible, the symbol is deceptively obvious, right there under Abraham Lincoln's hands. Many observers will assume the lines represent books. The symbol is that of fasces, a bundle of rods bound by a leather thong. Repeated many places in the memorial, the fasces throughout the Lincoln Memorial reveal the higher meaning of the memorial. Fasces were a Roman symbol of power and authority, a bundle of wooden rods and an axe bound together by leather thongs. Fasces represented that a man held imperium, or executive authority. Using imperium, a Roman leader could expect his orders to be obeyed, could dole out punishment, and could execute those who disobeyed.
Global Influence and Dominance. Both societies were the preeminent entities in their worlds including “hard” power (military might.
Solipsism. Americans have long believed that they are the straw that stirs the drink with qualities and abilities superior to other countries. In ancient days, all roads led to Rome, the center of the Ancient World.
Political Corruption. Like America today, politicians in the Roman Republic had difficulty differentiating between public and private responsibilities and public and private resources. As a consequence, public services declined while the pockets of the public officials and their patrician sponsors grew large at the expense of common citizens.
Foreign Wars.
Statue of Liberty, known formally as “Liberty Enlightening the World, is a copper colossus designed by the talented French sculptor, Frederic Auguste Bartholdi. The statue represents the Roman goddess Libertas; in her jubilant right hand, stretched toward heaven, she holds forth a perpetual flame and in her left, she holds a tablet on which is inscribed, “July 4, 1776.
July 4th is a very important day not just for American Independence, because this date coincides with the ending of an era of the Old Testament under the rule of Yahweh, to form a new Age under the rule of Universal The Illuminati (Catholic Church) with Jesus Christ as the cornerstone. A new beginning on July 4, 13 B.C. created under the New Testament (New Law).
America was not the only world dominating organization that was born. Onthe night of May 1, 1776, the first Illuminati met to found the order in a forest near Ingolstadt.
