Hola, comunidad, en esta semana 112 en la que el punto focal es el interpretar temas de tradición local, me decidí por compartir con ustedes estos cantos de pilón.
Hace décadas atrás, antes que la revolución industrial hiciera su impacto en nuestras vidas presentándonos la harina de maiz precocida, las damas venezolanas se debían de levantar estando aún oscuro para pilar el maíz, cocinarlo, molerlo y así poder dar a la familia la rica arepa para el desayuno. Ese pilar llevaba largo rato de su tiempo y era una labor rutinaria y aburrida por lo que se acostumbraba acompañar tal acción por algún canto cuya base rítmica se marcaba con cada golpe del pilón. Cuando terminaban las estrofas conocidas se improvisaba y eran versos de amor, de desamor o de humor los que brotaban de las bocas y corazones.
Estos cantos de pilón que les ofrezco son del tipo gracioso, más bien del tipo "chismoso" y espero los disfruten. Las dos últimas estrofas son de mi invención.
