I am an artist, crafter, hobbyist, and DIY-er by heart. I love creating things myself, either from scratch or out of existing materials.
One of my first projects this year (or last project latter part of December 2023?) was our 2024 Calendar. I used to design printable calendars and gifted them to my friends and colleagues from Christmas, but for some reason, didn't make one for myself. lol haha
This time, I finally made one for myself and each for my nephew and niece! I printed our calendars, but made my niece and nephew's calendar smaller so they can stick it to their diary. (This is me, trying to influence these kids some hobbies that I enjoy doing haha)
As for mine, I printed it in an A4 paper and even bound the pages together to make it more wall calendar-looking.
By the way, I formatted our calendars in Canva! There are a lot of free templates out there, so if you wanna make one yourself, go check it out and feel free to customize them to fit your liking.
Aside from the printed pages, I prepared glue, an illustration board, and some file clips.
Step 1: I trimmed down the illustration board to the size of the calendar pages. I left around half an inch on both sides and bottom to act as a border
Step 2: I align the top part of the calendar pages and board, making sure it's straight, then placed file clips on both sides to keep them in place.
Step 3. I brushed some glue on the top part, applying it on every space. Then I transferred the clips on that side to make sure that the pages will remain intact until the glue dries up.
Step 4. Once it dried up, I removed the clips... and tadaaaa! I now have my 2024 calendar!
Such an easy DIY project yet so cute! I love it!
Wanna try it, too? Let me know!
Stay sane and safe!
Let's spread happiness.
