On the 23rd of October last year (2020), I was on my 3rd week at the hospital with Papa, waiting for his operation day. I received a message from my nephew that B, our female beagle, started giving birth already! It was night time, and no one could go closer to B because she would get angry. The next day, my nephew sent me photos of the pups. Everyone was so cute, and I couldn't wait to meet them all!

There were 7 pups, and we were ecstatic because everyone survived! One pup disappeared, though. It is still a mystery to us until now. Haha Our hunch is either someone purposely took it, or the pup got to crawl its way outside, and was picked by someone. Their space then was near our gate, so that's a possibility. Anyway... one by one, each pup were given away. There were two left with us, and soon, the other one was given away as well. Mama was contemplating which one to keep, and I insisted that we keep the puppy that looked super innocent. Yup, that was C! haha

It's so funny because C would barely bark, and when he would, it would be soft. And even when he was already quite big, his voice still sounded like a pup's bark. It is only recently that he got to develop a louder bark. I think it started when his mom kept on barking during her last pregnancy. I feel like because C kept on hearing it, he kind of got an idea that he could do it, too. Hay! Haha

Because I barely interacted with B during her first year with us, I tend to forget when her birthday is. All I know is that it is around June or July. hehe. So I promised myself that I will remember C's birthday.

Happy 1st birthday, baby!

I crocheted a bow for both B and C, which, thankfully, they didn't try to remove. Haha. I was initially worried they might find it irritating. 😂 Aside from that, I also prepared an oatmeal peanut butter treat for them! I found a recipe online, and good thing, I have all the ingredients needed, at home. Yay!

Since all the ingredients are usual kitchen stuff, I tried them myself. Haha. The texture reminded me of commercial crispy bars, such as Choco Mucho or Fit Bar, so I am considering making again one day in bigger sizes.

Oatmeal Peanut Butter treat

I am so happy because the birthday boy munched on it! B, on the other hand, just sniffed it and moved away. That is why C ended up with 2 balls, since I gave him what was supposed to be B's. Haha

Inserting this photo because Mama doggie looks so pretty here!

I wanted this day to be extra special, but nothing grand actually happened. Haha We did spend a longer time outside for our afternoon walk, though! I was a bit loose, too, allowing them to run in circles even though it was a bit more challenging for me to manage. Haha. They looked so happy, so I couldn't stop watching them.

Aside from our usual route, we also stopped by another street for a bit. This one is actually closer to our house (literally the street beside our house haha), but I barely bring B and C here because there are usually people outside their houses or motorcycles passing by. On this day, I saw my nephew on this street, so I approached him with B anc C. What I didn't foresee was B, being super friendly!!! ❤️

When we reached that certain street, one girl approached them, and B immediatelly stood up to give her a hug! I was super kilig. Haha I recognized that that girl was the one who passed by our house several weeks ago. It was early in the evening, and I stayed by our gate with B and C. This girl asked me questions about them, and commented that they were cute. She even tried hugging them then! I love love love seeing B and C interacting with others. ❤️

After hanging around for a bit, I thought about visiting C's sister, K, who was adopted by our neighbor. I wasn't actually sure whether we'll get to see her, but I gave it a shot.

Good thing, even though her new family wasn't outside, K still got to peek through their gate. Haha I greeted her a happy birthday!

The three of them looked super excited to see each other, and it seemed like they even kissed each other! Haha Cuteness overload.

After a bit of "catching-up," I decided to call it a day and brought B and C back to our house.

Aaaaa. It was a great afternoon!

Stay sane and safe.
Let's spread happiness!
