After 2 years (and counting) of being stuck at home, my family finally got to go out for a bit! It was my niece's 3rd birthday, and instead of cooking or ordering food at home, my sister and her partner decided to celebrate at Vikings. Kuya's (ate's partner) family was also there, so we were quite a lot. Haha
We had it for dinner, so there was no conflict with my work schedule. From what I heard from Papa, we were supposed to go to the SM MoA (Mall of Asia) branch, but when Ate made a reservation, it was full na ata. We opted for the SM Jazz Mall branch instead. I honestly would have wanted to go to MoA because of the seaside area, but I think it was also a blessing in disguise na we didn't go there because my friend told me that the crowd there is getting crazy already.
It was my firtst time to be in Jazz Mall, and apparently, it is a mall connected to a condo. It was small lang, and there were only a few people around, so yay! Even the people dining in Vikings was also limited. Yay again!
My sister and her partner's family arrived there earlier than us, so when my niece saw us, she looked so surprised and asked, "Why you here?" HAHAHAHA Baby girl seemed happy, though. Her energy was overflowing that night! 😄
And because we were at Vikings, naturally, I'll talk about the food as well. I am not much of a foodie, and as an (inconsistent) pescitarian, the food options for me was not that many. Di talaga sulit ang all-you-can-eat sakin eh! Haha
My teenage nephew and I were the partners in selecting the food we'll get. Our first meal choices were a bit different, but on the next rounds, we agreed on the choices and just shared the plates together. The thing that I enjoyed the most there, I guess, was the dessert table. My sweet tooth was happy! We tried half of the available dessert, including ice cream and fruits. I liked the dark chocolate cake the most.
There was a point when all the birthday celebrants dining in were given a slice of cake, and a birthday song was played. My niece must have been unpleasantly surprised that she ended up crying. Hahaha. My Mama is a November celebrant, too, so she received a piece of cake, which made her kilig. 😆
And oh! I was extra in the mood that night because I went out wearing Rebecca, my first-ever freehanded crochet top! Yieeee. Hahahaha. It is a two-way top with different colors on each side. I have only tried wearing it with the rust color in front, and this night was my first time to wear it with the ivory color facing front.
That's it for now!
Stay sane and safe!
Let's spread happiness.
