A beverage for anytime of the day, with a turmeric tea. I have recently made a few turmeric pastes to store for making teas and lattes. On this occasion I made just enough fresh for a cup and it's super yummy. I know that there maybe some of you who right now are saying no thanks, yuck. Give it a try.

Curcumin an active compound within turmeric has been linked to aiding arthritis and other inflammatory issues. It's has research showing it is a good immune booster due to it's antioxidant levels and has also been linked to lowering cholesterol. So why not introduce a cup of this beautiful colourful tea or latte into your daily rituals.

How I went about it:

1 cup of organic oat milk (or other)
3/4 tsp of organic turmeric (I used dried)
1/2 tsp of ginger (again I used dried)
1/4 tsp of cinnamon
1 tsp of oil ( I used organic cold pressed hemp)
2 cloves
A sprinkle of a black pepper

I then added a sprinkle of cacao powder for added magnesium and a star anise to garnish it off.

Place all ingredients in a pot over a low heat and allow to simmer. I whisked mine to give it a mix and a little extra smoothness.
