The Role of Women Towards the Development Process.

The concept of development of women's role is used to develop women empowerment, which means improving the quality and role of women in all aspects of life either directly or indirectly through the creation of conducive situations as motivators and development process akslerasi. Empowering women as a process of awareness and capacity building towards greater participation, power and supervision in decision-making and transformation actions to produce greater equality between women and men.

It is widely recognized that the quality of women in the development process is still very low, which causes the role of women left behind in all things. So to overcome it, it needs effort and strategy to integrate gender into development flow by placing women as the subject of development and eliminating the obstacle faced by women in development by doing analysis and evaluation activities such as:

1. The extent to which women are involved in development programs.
2. The extent to which the quality of labor to women.
3. What are the constraints faced by women in development activities.
4. What efforts are needed to improve the quality and active role of women.
5. What are the dominant factors affecting gender relations.
6. How to solve the problems faced by women.
   So with this framework will certainly be able to produce an identification of the extent to which the role of women in development today.
   

One of the indicators of women integration in development is the participation rate of female labor force in all fields of employment as politicians, civil servants, employees, company workers including farmers, until 1998 alone reached 40.2%
This condition can be understood so big the share of women in national development which is predicted to increase from year to year. Despite the fact that women are a resource that has not been utilized optimally to contribute to economic development. This means that women and development have been highlighted internationally, including non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in a more comprehensive study.
An alternative analysis of women's role in promoting development can be seen from three aspects:

1. The role of tradition or domestic role relating to domestic work. Women who successfully manage the household well will be an inspiration and motivator for development actors.
2. The role of transition related to agricultural land or work in the family business.
3. Contemporary roles, Women have a role outside the household or called a career woman.
   These roles show that women both directly and indirectly have a major contribution to the nation's development.
   
   

The government has placed women as a sweet partner for development. The issue of women's movement and empowerment that develops revolves around a thought that women as development resources, in other words, gender politics has adopted the Women In Development approach where women are fully integrated into national development.
This concept gives women a portion to more extend their participation in development towards a prosperous and peaceful nation.
