Anemone. When the theme about flowers was announced, I immediately thought of something that would symbolize me. Something that would describe how my life has been for the past year, then I came across this flower, the Anemone.
They say anemone on a darker note, indicates fading hope and a feeling of having been forsaken. Ups and downs has challenged me the past year; family issues that would include financial problems, some stressful architectural plates to finish to, those sleep-deprived days that would eat up my patience and et cetera. I actually came to a point of giving up, feeling hopeless from all the struggles I’ve gone through. But on a positive side, they say Anemone also symbolizes anticipation. After each of those battles I’ve experienced, I still wake up in anticipation that something extraordinary will happen everyday and that everything just happens for a reason and I just need to embrace every challenge to make me a stronger person.
