The queen stripped her titles,
She gave up her crown,
She made herself battle,
On bloody grounds.
Once silk and satin,
Became silver and steel,
Skin smooth and fair,
Became scarred unreal.
The palace she adored,
Now crumbled to dust,
The king she once had,
Now nothing but rust.
A queen is defined,
By the wars she fought,
Not by jewelries and pleasantries,
Nor the lovers she sought.
This queen is a queen,
Not minding the crown,
She defends her throne,
Her people, her vow.
This poem was inspired by a woman who tried to be the strongest queen even without a king. She even raised a princess without the King's dowry. A queen without a crown bares her vulnerabilities and weaknesses not so she could look helpless but because she knows that admitting her flaws will make her stronger. I'll forever be in debt to you MOM, you're the best queen there ever will be :)
