Hi, dear Steemians!
For today's #cityscapephotography by @juliank, I've chosen a photo of an old mansion in the centre of Moscow.
This building is located opposite the entrance in Novospassky Monastery.
The architecture of this place is a real mixture of culture and epoch.
Next to this mansion you can see the Church of Forty Martyrs Sebaste
The first wooden church was built in this place in the 16th century. Then it was rebuilt from stone in 1644. Unfortunately, it was damaged badly during the Soviet period. The reborn of the church started in 1993.
And on the right of the church you can see a house with graffiti.
In the picture we can see the portrait of Ivan Chernyakhovsky. He was the youngest general of Great Patriotic War. He was also a commander of the 3rd Belorussian Front.
