Mangos are something in Thailand! I was born in Brazil, where mangos are quite common. However, in my country, I should confess that they are not so creamy, smooth and tasty as here in Thailand. Since I arrive here, I fall in love with the mangos and how Thai people are creative with their unique fruit. One of the most popular (and exotic) desserts here is the mango sticky rice, and I promise to write about it later. But today, I want to share with you my impressions about this incredible mango pie plus this cappuccino with my own selfie! Indulgence, narcissism, ego, and pleasure! Yes, we have everything in this post, my beloved readers! So, let’s go to the mango pie!

Charin pie

There’s been a while since I promise myself to visit Charin Pie. This cafe is quite famous here in Chiang Mai, not only because of the pies but also for the lattes and cappuccinos which you can print a photo on the top.

The place is a cute cottage, perfect to have a nice dessert, a good coffee, spend some time chilling with friends or working with your laptop. They offer internet for free, and silent tables to work if this is your goal.

In the menu, they offer many different types of pies, including the coconut pie which is the most famous one. Today they had blueberry, tiramisu, pumpkin and the incredible mango, which was my choice.

The mango pie and selfie cappuccino

My choice was the mango pie and of course, I couldn't miss the chance to have my own face on my cappuccino! It’s super narcissist, I should say, but also super fun to have your face on your own coffee! I like it!

The pie was amazingly delicious! It’s made by a soft cream with pieces of mango inside. The pie is also cover with a cream made of pure mango, simply marvelous! The mango itself could be just an incredible dessert, but in this pie, all the flavors were mixed in a perfect combination. It’s sweet in a soft way and super smoothie. Really! Worth it!

It was a bit pricy! For the coffee and the pie, I spend 160 bahts (US$ 4,55), but it worth it every single bite! Really recommend this place and its pies!
