Hi Steemers!

It has been a long time since I last posted here, but I have the most beautifull excuse : I gave birth to my third baby :-)

But I'm back now!

Today, I want to share the process of the drawing and the coloring of a pin up aviator I made last year for the CDC Challenge on Facebook. As you can see below, it took me a long time to find the right clothes :-) I often apply a symetry on the drawing to check if all looks ok. When you do that, the default are more visible and you can quickly correct them.
For this illustration, I directly drew on a new file in Photoshop, I didn't make a pencil sketch.

Now that I have a satisfying line, I can begin the colors. First step is always putting the basic colors, and then adding details. I usually make the face first, that's my favorite part of the job :-)

Now, the hair and the jacket...

Still more details on the sweater the trousers, and the hand.

Here, I added some lights, and adjusted the color balance, before finishing the feet.

A few more details in the trousers, and adding a bit more of yellow and red colors. It's nearly finished!

And here is the final result

I hope you liked it, because I had a lot of fun doing it :-)

If you enjoy my work, please don't forget to upvote, resteem, and follow. Thank you!

See you soon with a new painting!
