Your dog is in the backyard digging a hole in the garden. It’s yellow eyes aren’t warm like my parents dog it’s too wise. It’s trying to tell me something. I crawl on my belly using my shoulders and elbows to drag me forward. Dirt turns into mud mud turns into water. I’m swimming all I can see is a small light I’m following. I don’t come up for a breath of air. If I hit my head trying to come up I will panic and drown. The light gets further and further away from me until suddenly it goes out. I stop swimming and let my body go. I float up to the top. I don’t hit a barrier but open my eyes to the night sky. I’m floating in the ocean. The waves wash me up onto a sand bank. Your dog and Kara’s dog both identical facing each other wait for me at the entrance of the pathway howling at the moon. I’ve been here before I just can’t remember it
