Hello Steemians!

Today I have a lesson on an intermediate chord technique called “hammer-ons” and “pull-offs.” This is great for spicing up your chord transitions, and is the building blocks of being able to insert melodic ‘breaks’ or solos into your accompaniment between verses of songs.

In other news... it is HOT here. I intended to get this lesson up this morning, but we started haying today (and mercury retrograde gave us a fair number of mechanical breakdowns 🙄 ) and my morning got ate up very fast. It’s hard to do much of anything after it gets to be 95*+ (fahrenheight) in the shade...

I am excited to see my Facebook group of learners slowly grow, and also excited because one of the libraries around here booked me for THREE in-person workshops. 💕 I am looking forward to those.

As always, thank you for your support, it means the world to this humble bard (and mother, and farmer’s wife) to be able to teach and pass on the skills I’ve aquired in 8 years of ukulele playing and 20+ years of musicianship, without having to leave my home and my family to do so. After having my children, I tried to continue to teach private lessons and play gigs, and the strain on our family (scheduling was a nightmare) left me little choice but to stop. I am blessed and grateful Steemit has offered me the opportunity to continue teaching and playing music for people. ❤️

Take care! 🎶
