Hello, my friends in the Hive community. In my previous post, I shared my experience going on a picnic with my family in Berastagi city. In the previous post, we enjoyed the natural beauty of the mountains on Gundaling hill. Well, this time I will tell you about my trip to the hot tub.

When after we relaxed at Gundaling hill, we went to a hot spring at the foot of Mount Sibayak. Still in the same city, namely Berastagi city. I purposely took my family there so that their bodies would be refreshed by soaking in a hot tub containing sulfur. In addition to refreshing the body, sulfur water is also good for skin health.

The distance from Gundaling hill to the hot springs takes 25 minutes. The name of the bathing place is Pariban. There is not only a hot pool, but we can also enjoy the beauty of the architectural design. Because this is the student holiday season, this place is quite busy visited by local tourists from other cities. When in the parking lot, already saw a lot of car visitors there. Luckily we were able to get a parking space.

After entering the Pariban gate, you can see a beautiful mini waterfall decorated by local managers to make it an instagramable photo spot. The entrance fee to the Pariban is 20K for one person. In front of the entrance, there are a pair of statues dancing traditional Karo customs. Because in this place, the majority of the people are Karo people.

After packing our luggage into a gazebo that we rented, my cousin and sister went straight into the hot spring pool to soak there. Since I didn't bring a change of clothes, I didn't take a dip in the pool with them. I chose to go around the Pariban area to take some photos there.

The picture above is a gazebo and inn building. Looks at the end of the roof look like a buffalo head and tribal ornaments under the roof. this is a typical Karo custom design. The Karo indigenous people think that the buffalo is a symbol of prosperity. The tribal painting under the roof is a symbol of one's clan. each clan has a different colour and form of painting.

The three pictures above are photo spots to take pictures with beautiful backgrounds.

They also raise chickens and goldfish. In my opinion, chicken and goldfish will be used as a menu dish at their restaurant.

The children looked happy with their families playing in the pool and also the water bomb.

After walking around the Pariban area, I took a short break at a coffee shop and ordered a glass of palm sugar milk coffee. That is the signature menu at this Pariban coffee shop. The taste of the coffee is very fresh and delicious. Not only coffee is there, but also alcoholic drinks to warm the body. Because there, the air is so cold. Btw, I don't drink alcohol for fear of getting drunk.

At 04.00 pm, my cousin, my sister, and their children were satisfied playing with water and soaking in the hot water pool, we immediately prepared the things we brought and returned home to Medan (my rented house). Until 08.00 pm we arrived home. On the way home, the road was very congested, so we were a bit late to get home.

That's the story of my journey with my family. Thank you for taking the time to read. Nice to meet you.
