I have a story about this and it happened a few years ago. Therefore...
Looking Back...
At the place where I work, salesman or saleswoman are not allowed to enter because of the rules. Even so, well, I guess it's well known that a good salesman always have the perfect words that buyer needs to hear.
One lovely afternoon, two young girl caught the attention of one of my colleague. They started promoting cookware with good offers. As you know, if someone love to cook then that someone will absolutely love a good cookware set too. More of my colleague came and listen. Soon they all registered because monthly payments are allowed. I'm lucky I don't have budgets at that time even for monthly payment. One of the benefits of not having enough I guess 😅.
At first, it went well but soon the company start disappearing. The only explanation left is the ship carrying the cookware sink and no refunds given. That's it. Untraceable.
The sad thing is... One of the salesgirl can be considered as my relative. One thing that I learn that day is, no matter who is that person to me, I can't simply trust without considering the risks. I didn't get caught in that scam but most of my friends did.
Looking forward...
It's obvious that I don't want to get caught in any scams.
Whatever the offers are, if I can't see the prove of the real thing, it's a hundred percent NO!
I guess I do have one thing that I'm good at saying No 🤭
Any choices that I make must be after I considered all the risk that I can thought of. Asking for other opinions is also a good thing before making decisions.
If I can't be sure, It's either taking the smallest risk or just forget about it.
I terms of Bad luck, I think I usually have more good than bad lucks.
