If there's anything I hate about weekdays it's the fact that it's been thousands of years and no one seems to have found the solution to the age old parasite that never stops feeding on our stress levels.
The Unwholesome Mondays

Mondays always gets my stress level up, infact just thinking about the next Monday on the present Monday is enough to get me hyperventilating.
It doesn't matter whether I've got a planned out or a free day, as long as it's a Monday then something will definitely come up whether I like it or not.

What's most annoying though is like on other days, things are somewhat less annoying because you're dreaming of the next weekend. But all Mondays seem to do is remind you of all the fun you had the day before and two days prior.

Imagine having to work on that very important Excel sheet when half your mind is still reeling from all the attended parties and fun you had over the weekend.
That sh!# will get anybody mad every single Monday morning.

Yesterday I was free and didn't have anything planned out so I thought, it'll probably be an exception to the Monday stress for once.
The day had other plans for me

I was enjoying the early morning feel when the smell of jollof rice from my neighbor hit my nostrils, ordinarily I wouldn't have minded the torture of having to perceive food I knew I wouldn't get to taste.

But unfortunately it was that one neighbor who loved to add a mix of spices in her rice whether it was needed or not. My sense of smell was soon overloaded while my neighbor continued humming, oblivious to the punishment I was receiving.

Against my better judgement, I stepped out for a bit to go check up on a friend and it was as if everyone at the bus stop had their anger energy bar jacked up way past it's elastic limit.
I knew getting transportation would both be tiring and stressful because of the number of people trying to get to work. It was either brave the stress or go suffer the aroma of an over spiced rice, my brain made the right decision as I soon found myself walking back home.

It was a great decision though as I later discovered my friend had an emergency and wasn't home.
My neighbor offered a plate of jollof rice, but nahhh I had to politely decline. I didn't wanna test my goodluck tasting a spicy food on a Monday morning.
